Lance Reddick to appear in John Wick spin-off Ballerina

December 4, 2022 by Ricky Church

The John Wick spin-off Ballerina starring Ana de Armas (No Time To Die) will see another familiar face from the John Wick universe as Lance Reddick will reprise his role as the Continental’s concierge Charon.

“Charon is an indispensable part of the world of Wick,” said Ballerina producer Erica Lee. “It’s great to know that Lance will continue to make his mark on this franchise.”

Ballerina will see Armas as a young woman training to be an assassin in the ballet school seen in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. She will use her skills to gain revenge against the hitmen who killed her family. The film will see Anjelica Huston return as the school’s Director alongside Keanu Reeves as John Wick and Ian McShane as the Continental manager Winston.

The film is currently without a release date, but will arrive in between John Wick: Chapter 4 (out March 24th) and the also-undated John Wick: Chapter 5. The John Wick franchise is also set to expand to the small screen in Peacock’s limited series The Continental, a prequel which explores how Winston came to be in control of the Continental hotel and sees Colin Woodell as the young Winston.

Ballerina is in production now, with Len Wiseman (Underworld) directing from a script by Shay Hatten (John Wick 3) and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman).
