Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins anthology series announced by Dark Horse

December 9, 2022 by Gary Collinson

Dark Horse Comics has announced that it is set to further expand the world of Netflix’s Stranger Things with the new anthology comic series Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins.

The series will be written by Jody Houser (Star Wars: Thrawn), who will be joined on the four-part series by artists Caio Filipe (Stranger Things: Summer Special), Sunando C (End After End), and Giorgia Gio Esposito (Doctor Who), colorist Dan Jackson (Hellboy: Weird Tales), and letterer Nate Piekos (The Umbrella Academy).

Here’s the description of the first issue, along with the cover artwork…

On the surface, Hawkins, Indiana seems like the kind of town where nothing too out of the ordinary ever happens, but in the fall of ’83 it is anything but safe. In Issue #1 of Tales from Hawkins, two friends head out into the woods with their rifles and a six-pack. These would-be hunters find themselves the prey of a nightmarish beast who has claimed the wilderness around town and everything inside it, including them.

Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins #1 will go on sale on February 8th 2023.
