Paramount+ revives Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 with new movie Zoey 102

January 14, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Even Paramount+ knows to dip into the nostalgia well as the streamer will revive one of its fan-favorite 2000s series. We’ve learned Nickelodeon has begun production on a revival of Zoey 101, the teen show that won over fans when it debuted in 2005. The movie is currently going under the working title of Zoey 102. Production is now underway in North Carolina

Jamie Lynn Spears is set to reprise her role as Zoey Brooks and will serve as an executive producer, with Spears stating: “I’m beyond thrilled to be back alongside my PCA family and continue the story of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love. As an executive producer, it’s been an exciting opportunity to work with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.”

In the new film, we will follow the Pacific Coast Academy alums as they reunite for a wedding in the present day. In the original series, we followed Zoey (Spears) as she enrolled in Pacific Coast Academy, a school that previously only allowed boys to attend.

Returning for the movie are Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese), Christopher Massey (Michael Barret), Abby Wilde (Stacey Dillsen), and Jack Salvatore (Mark Del Figgalo). Golden Globe winner Austin Butler (Elvis) is not set to reprise his original role.

The movie is slated to premiere later this year exclusively on Paramount+.
