Rise of the Beasts producer teases upcoming Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover

July 26, 2023 by EJ Moreno

As we approach the Mattel takeover of Hollywood, two of its biggest brands are set to team up in an upcoming film. For those who don’t know, during the final moments of the latest Transformers outing – Rise of the Beasts – we got a teaser indicating Anthony Ramos’ Noah returns would join the G.I. Joe team in a potential crossover event.

In a recent interview, producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura teased what to expect from this type of meet-up, giving fans hope that we could see an epic collaboration only seen in comics and the toy boxes of kids worldwide, telling  OneTakeNews:

“I don’t look at things like a universe; I look at them as a story, and [the Joes] will be a part of the story. I also think the term “crossover” means different things for different people. For me, the Joes, whoever they are, are entering the world of Transformers, not combining the two worlds. The plan is to eventually do [a crossover]. But, for the next movie, it’s the Joes that are coming in for whatever the ending of Rise of the Beasts has led us to believe is possible.”

Di Bonaventura notes we’ll see them together on-screen, even if there’s yet to be a script or official plan: “Oh, they will interact. We haven’t developed a script yet, though. What I will say is just like we do with every other movie, it will be a team of Transformers and humans fighting the fight. The Joes will be a part of that.”
