Sylvester Stallone to hunt a serial killer in The Epiphany

February 17, 2024 by Gary Collinson

Sylvester Stallone is set to make his return to the streets of Philadelphia, the setting of the Rocky movies, as Deadline reports that the screen legend is set to star in the upcoming crime thriller The Epiphany from writer Will Eubank (Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin).

Scripted by Katie Lovejoy and Russell Sommer, the film will see Stallone playing “a hard-nosed, soon-to-retire police detective who must team up with a younger cop and former priest to stop a serial killer on a murderous crusade through the streets of Philadelphia.”

Stallone is coming off the fourth Expendables movie, and also starred in Paramount+ and Taylor Sheridan’s crime drama series Tulsa King, which has been renewed for a second season. Next up for the star is Cliffhanger 2, with Stallone returning as search-and-rescue ranger Gabe Walker in a sequel to the 1993 action blockbuster.

Production on The Epiphany is slated to take place on location in Philadelphia this summer, with Stallone also producing through his Balboa Productions.
