28 Years Later Part II gets mysterious new title

June 25, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Fans of those iconic fast-running rabid zombies have plenty to look forward to in the future.

Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s upcoming 28 Years Later trilogy is already in production, and the second instalment has been titled.

Filming on the long-delayed sequel with Jodie Comer has begun, and the production team is already looking towards the future. Per Coming Soon, the Nia DaCosta-directed sequel will now be called 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple.

Since we know nothing about this new era, the subtitle of ‘The Bone Temple‘ intrigues many fans. Could this be a new location for us to explore, or will we enter a new zombie-loving cult we aren’t prepared for? Only time will tell, but it’s good to go back into this horrifying universe.

28 Years Later will star Aaron Taylor Johnson, Erin Kellyman, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell alongside Comer. There’s no word on if any will return for DaCosta’s film.

There’s no concrete date set, but DaCosta is expected to start working on her second entry after the first wraps.

28 Years Later will be released on June 25th, 2025.
