Aaron Taylor-Johnson says Quicksilver won’t return to the MCU anytime soon

November 27, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the actor behind the MCU’s Quicksilver, says that fans shouldn’t expect the character to return to the fold anytime soon.

Quicksilver was introduced to the MCU along with his sister Scarlet Witch but while the latter character has gone on to make many big-screen appearances and is now getting her own Disney+ show, Quicksilver met his end in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

But with the advent of Disney+ and shows like WandaVision and What If…?, is there a chance that Quicksilver will return to the MCU? Well, according to actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, there are no plans for this, either on the big screen or Disney+.

Speaking to Screen Rant, he said: “I think we’re both open to possibilities, like the Marvel Universe like it has been over the years, but obviously yes, I’m aware of the Disney+ platform and all of the shows that are going and I’m still in touch with a lot of the people. I mean, I think it’s safe to say that no, I’m not gonna… there will be no appearance of me coming out or Quicksilver appearing anytime soon.”

Well, at least the actor is open to the idea! Who knows what the distant future might hold. Would you like to see Quicksilver return? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter @flickeringmyth…
