Adam Sandler gets existential with Paul Dano’s extraterrestrial in new Spaceman clip

February 27, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

Netflix has unveiled an exclusive clip (via IGN) for their Adam Sandler in Space drama Spaceman, which features the actor in an existential exchange with Paul Dano’s extra-terrestrial.

Directed by Johan Renck (Chernobyl) and based on the novel Spaceman of Bohemia, Spaceman tells the story of an astronaut on a solitary mission who is desperately hoping to fix his marriage to his Earthbound wife (played by Carey Mulligan), when he receives help from a mysterious ancient creature (voiced by Paul Dano) he finds hiding in the bowels of the ship. Also starring Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini, you can check out the clip below…

Six months into a solitary research mission to the edge of the solar system, an astronaut, Jakub (Adam Sandler), realizes that the marriage he left behind might not be waiting for him when he returns to Earth. Desperate to fix things with his wife, Lenka (Carey Mulligan), he is helped by a mysterious creature from the beginning of time he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship. Hanuš (voiced by Paul Dano) works with Jakub to make sense of what went wrong before it is too late.
