Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. star Adrianne Palicki is heading into space, with Deadline reporting that the actress has joined the cast of Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming live-action sci-fi comedy drama series at Fox, along with American Dad veteran Scott Grimes.
The as-yet-untitled show will take place in the 24th century and “chronicles the exploits of the Orville, a ‘not-so-top-of-the-line’ ship in Earth’s interstellar Fleet.” MacFarlane is set to play Ed, the Captain of the Orville, with Palicki playing Kelly Grayson, Ed’s ex-wife and the ship’s First Officer, and Grimes as Gordon, the Orville’s pilot and Ed’s best friend.
The new show is slated to hit Fox in 2017.
