Alice Hewkin joins DC’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

May 11, 2025 by EJ Moreno

Alice Hewkin is joining DC Studios’ Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Hewkin (The Brothers Son, Sex Education) has been cast in the film as a Sklarian Raider, but little is known about her character.

The Sklarian Raiders are a group of female space pirates in the DC Comics universe, known primarily for their appearances in stories related to the Legion of Super-Heroes. They were created by Paul Levitz, Bob Wiacek, and James Sherman, and first appeared in Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #233 (1977). The Sklarian Raiders come from the planet Sklaria. Their society is technologically behind other worlds in the United Planets, and they often steal technology to help uplift their world. Supergirl encountered them during her time with the Legion of Super-Heroes, especially when she travelled to the future.

An interesting note is that the project is based on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic written by Tom King, but the Sklarian Raiders are not featured in that story. Fans are intrigued by their potential role in this film, where they could have possible connections to Jasom Momoa’s Lobo and his space bandit-like ways.

Craig Gillespie (Cruella) is directing Supergirl from a script by Ana Nogueira. The film stars Milly Alcock as Supergirl/Kara Zor-El, with Matthias Schoenaerts as the villain Krem of the Yellow Hill, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Jason Momoa as Lobo, and David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as the parents of Kara Zor-El.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set for release on June 26th 2026.
