Alien: Covenant’s Amy Seimetz cast in the Pet Sematary remake

June 2, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Deadline is reporting that Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant) has become the latest addition to the cast of Paramount Pictures’ Stephen King remake Pet Sematary, joining the previously announced Jason Clarke (Winchester) and John Lithgow (The Crown).

Seimetz will portray the female lead, Rachel Creed, the wife of Clarke’s Louis Creed, and mother to young Gage, the child who is killed in a tragic accident, only to be brought back from the dead thanks to an ancient burial ground hidden behind the local pet graveyard.

Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch (Starry Eyes) are directing the new Pet Sematary from a script by David Kajganich (The Terror) and Jeff Buhler (Nightflyers), with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (1408), Mark Vahradian (Transformers) and Steven Schneider (Insidious) producing.

Pet Sematary is set for release on April 5th 2019.
