AMC developing new The Walking Dead spinoff series

February 28, 2019 by Samuel Brace

A new The Walking Dead spinoff TV series is in development at AMC, according to a recent announcement by the company.

The Walking Dead, AMC’s long-running zombie TV drama, already has one spinoff series in Fear the Walking Dead, as well as some films in the pipeline, but there is now going to be another spinoff series coming to the network.

We don’t have any details about what this series will be about but the announcement of the spinoff show was made during AMC Networks’ quarterly earnings call with Wall Street analysts. AMC COO Ed Carroll said (via ComicBook.com):

“We’re not at a stage where we’ll be announcing its plans to premiere. But we have hired creative people that have pitched story outlines. We feel very good about the development of that series. We’re not in a position to talk about partnerships in terms of other territories or ancillary windows, other than that there’s a healthy appetite for it and we’ve had a number of conversations with a lot of players in the space.”

Is another The Walking Dead-themed TV show something you would be interested in watching? Let us know what you would like to see from a new series in the comments below.
