Andrea Riseborough in talks for Top Dollar role in The Crow

May 21, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It looks like Relativity Studios may have found its main villain for The Crow, with Deadline reporting that Andrea Riseborough (Oblivion, Birdman) is in talks to play Top Dollar, the gang boss whose thugs are responsible for the murders of Eric Draven and his fiancee Shelly Webster. The character was played by Michael Wincott in the 1994 original.

The latest adaptation of James O’Barr’s comic book series is set to be directed by Corin Hardy, and will star Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) in the lead role as Eric Draven, while Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey) will play Shelly. The long-gestating remake is finally heading towards production, and is expected to arrive some time in 2016.
