Anna Hathaway leads star-studded ensemble for Amazon’s Modern Love

November 29, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Amazon has announced a rather stellar ensemble cast for its upcoming anthology series adaptation of the New York Times podcast and column Modern Love.

Joining Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway in the eight-episode half hour series will be Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, Dev Patel, John Slattery, ndy Garcia, Cristin Milioti, Olivia Cooke, Andrew Scott, Shea Whigham, Gary Carr, Sofia Boutella and John Gallagher Jr., Brandon Victor Dixon, Catherine Keener and Julia Garner.

“It’s like I woke up in the actor candy store. We’ve managed to assemble a dream cast of my favorite actors,” said showrunner John Carney (Once, Sing Street) via THR. “It’s a testament to the reach of the original column and of how, now more than ever, love is the only certainty.”

In addition to the cast, it has also been announced that Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe), Emmy Rossum (Shameless) and Tom Hall (Sensation) have signed on to direct episodes.
