Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect 2, Into the Woods) is to join Zac Efron in the new comedy project Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, which also stars Adam DeVine, Kendrick’s Pitch Perfect co-star.
20th Century Fox are making the film, alongside Chernin Entertainment. Jake Szymanski (Funny or Die) is set to direct from a screenplay by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien, who scripted the Efron-starrer Bad Neighbours.
The film tells the story of two brothers who place an online ad to find dates for a wedding and the ad goes viral.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates set for release in July 2016.
