Annapurna Pictures have announced the cast for the new drama 20th Century Women, to be written and directed by Mike Mills (Beginners).
Elle Fanning (Maleficent), Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha) and Oscar winner Annette Bening (American Beauty) will headline the film, which is set to begin filming later this year in Southern California.
Set in 1979, 20th Century Women “follows Dorothea Fields, a mother who is trying her best to raise her teenage son. As she tries to navigate through life and love, Dorothea looks for answers from two other women in her life, each from a different area of the 20th Century. These different perspectives help set Jamie on the right course.”
The film is set for release in 2016.
