Anya Taylor-Joy says Glass will be “something really special”

October 12, 2017 by Samuel Brace

One of the stars of Glass, Anya Taylor-Joy, has that the cast is aware that they are making something special.

Shooting has begun on M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable/Split sequel and one of the film’s stars, who made it over from this year’s Split, is already talking up Glass’ script; full of praise for the material at her disposal.

Joining Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson from Unbreakable, and her Split co-star James McAvoy, Taylor-Joy told the following to HeyUGuys in a brief interview:

“I think we all are very aware that we’re making something really special. M. Night’s done just such an incredible job with the script, that we’re all coming in and elevating our performances every single day. It’s just really fun!”

Glass will see Jackson’s Elijah Price act as an orchestrator, holding secrets important to both Willis’ David Dunn and McAvoy’s Kevin Wendell Crumb.

Glass has recently added Disney as a distributor for the film, joining Universal, with shooting currently underway in Philadelphia.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men. This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum.

Glass will see the return of Bruce Willis (David Dunn), Samuel L. Jackson (Elijah Price), Spencer Treat Clark (Joseph Dunn) and Charlayne Woodard (Mrs. Price) from Unbreakable and James McAvoy (Kevin Wendell Crumb) and Anya Taylor-Joy (Casey Cooke) from Split, while Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) is also set for a role. The film is slated to hit cinemas on January 19th 2019.
