September 26, 2017 by Amie Cranswick

After years of development and pushed back release dates, cameras have now officially started rolling on James Cameron’s four Avatar sequels, with production getting underway today in Manhattan beach.

The four follow-ups to the highest-grossing movie of all time have a reported budget in excess of $1 billion, and will be shot together in succession in 3D.
