Awkwafina joins Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson in Christmas movie The Man With The Bag

January 25, 2025 by Ricky Church

Deadline reports Jumanji: The Next Level star Awkwafina will join Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alan Ritchson in the Christmas comedy The Man With The Bag.

The Man With The Bag follows the theft of Sant’s magic bag. To get it back, he turns to his naughty list to find Vance, a thief. Along with Santa, his daughter and a group of misfits, Vance will have to pull off the greatest heist of his life to save Christmas.

For Schwarzenegger, this is a return to the holiday genre after his cult classic Jingle All The Way nearly 30 years ago. Schwarzenegger will play Santa and Ritchson is believed to be playing Vance, but this has not been confirmed as of yet. Awkwafina’s role is also under wraps.

The Man With The Bag is being directed by Adam Shankman (Disenchanted) from a script by Allan Rice (Stuck in the Middle). Ritchson will produce alongside Lawrence Grey, Ben Everard, Reg Tigerman and Dan Spilo.
