Bella Thorne and Melissa Leo join thriller Leave Not One Alive

September 13, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

According to Deadline, Bella Thorne (Midnight Sun) and Melissa Leo (The Fighter) have signed on to star in the revenge thriller Leave Not One Alive, where they will star alongside Jake Weary (It Follows), Michael Potts (The Wire), Benedict Samuel (Gotham), Kevin Corrigan (The Departed), and Adrian Martinez (I Feel Pretty).

Written and directed by Jordan Galland, the film follows “a theater actress, Lillian Cooper (Leo) whose son (Weary) dies mysteriously. When the investigating officer (Potts) rules the cause of death an accidental overdose, Lillian conducts her own investigation which leads her to an unlikely alliance with her son’s former drug dealer (Thorne). On her quest for answers, Lillian hallucinates some of the iconic characters she’s played on stage which serve as her inner voice, urging her to avenge her son’s death.”

Production is currently underway on Leave Not One Alive in New York, with Ace Pictures Entertainment and DeerJen producing.

Melissa Leo has recently completed filming on the indie drama Coast, while Thorne will next be seen in Assassination Nation, and also has a role in Xavier Dolan’s The Death and Life of John F. Donovan.
