February 22, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Black Panther has achieved the highest grossing Tuesday and Wednesday ever for a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The buzz surrounding Black Panther’s release has certainly translated into actual success as the film is performing incredibly well at the box office, competing on level footing with some of the biggest releases in history – at least for the time being.

Ryan Coogler’s film can now celebrate another achievement to add to an already burgeoning list as it has been revealed that Black Panther has claimed the highest ever grossing Tuesday at the US box office for a film in Marvel’s cinematic universe.

Bringing in $21 million at 4,020 North American locations on Tuesday, Black Panther’s haul was also the seventh biggest Tuesday taking for any movie ever. The film continued to set Marvel records on Wednesday with $14.5 million – up from the previous record of $13.6 million set by The Avengers – and taking its domestic haul up to $277.5 million in just six days.
