Bruce Dern to guest star in Stephen King series Mr. Mercedes

February 22, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Oscar-nominated actor Bruce Dern (Nebraska, The Hateful Eight) has joined the cast of AT&T Audience Network’s acclaimed Stephen King drama series Mr. Mercedes for a guest appearance in the third season.

Dern – who will next be seen on the big screen in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – will play John Rothstein, a famous and reclusive writer living on the fringes of Bridgton, Ohio.

Production is underway now on the third season of Mr. Mercedes, which will  closely follow the story contained in Finders Keepers, the second book of King’s Bill Hodges series, and continue to explore the fallout from the massacre perpetrated by Brady Hartsfield.

Season three of Mr. Mercedes is slated to premiere on AT&T Audience Network later this year.
