Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin and Gugu Mbatha-Raw join Motherless Brooklyn

February 6, 2018 by Gary Collinson

A couple of days ago it was reported that Willem Dafoe has signed on to star alongside Edward Norton in an adaptation of Jonathan Lethem’s novel Motherless Brooklyn, and now The Wrap brings word of three more additions to the cast.

According to the site, Bruce Willis (Death Wish), Alec Baldwin (Mission: Impossible – Fallout) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Cloverfield Paradox) have signed on to star in the film, which also has Cherry Jones (American Crime), Ethan Suplee (Chance), Leslie Mann (This Is 40), Josh Pais (Ray Donovan), Fisher Stevens, Michael K. Williams (Assassin’s Creed) and Robert Wisdom (The Dark Knight Rises).

In addition to writing and directing, Norton stars as Lionel Essrog, a private detective affected by Tourette’s Syndrome in 1950s New York, who witnesses the murder of his only friend and sets out to investigate the case, unravelling closely-guarded secrets that hold the fate of the whole city in the balance.
