Bryan Cranston loves El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, calls Vince Gilligan a “genius”

Bryan Cranston, the star of Breaking Bad, has heaped praise on spinoff movie El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, calling director Vince Gilligan a “genius”.

Fans are pretty pumped to see the story of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul continue with El Camino. But how will it match up to the show that spawned it? Well, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston seems to more than approve of the film.

Taking to Twitter after the film’s premiere, Cranston expressed his thoughts after seeing it for the first time: “World premiere last night of El Camino! First time I’ve seen it – but it won’t be the last. Aaron is SO damn good in it! And Vince Gilligan is just a genius. Breaking Bad fans will love this story of ‘what happened to Jesse?’ Go see it this weekend!”

Seeing Aaron Paul return as Jesse Pinkman is something many fans of the show have been wanting so hopefully Cranston’s praise is indicative of the movie’s quality.

The Netflix Television Event EL CAMINO: A BREAKING BAD MOVIE reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman (Emmy-winner Aaron Paul). In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie arrives on Netflix on October 11th and is set for a limited theatrical release from October 11th to 13th.
