Focus Features has released a new trailer for The Ballad of Wallis Island, their critically-acclaimed comedy that tells the story of a lottery winner (Tim Key – Wicked Little Letters) who decides to get his favourite band back together for a gig on his remote island.
The Ballad of Wallis Island features Carey Mulligan (Inside Llewyn Davis) and Tom Basden (After Life) as the former bandmates and lovers, who accept his lucrative invitation and all of the drama that comes with it. Watch the trailer below…
The Ballad of Wallis Island follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden) back together. His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island. Old tensions resurface as Charles tries desperately to salvage his dream gig.
The Ballad of Wallis Island is only in theatres March 28th.
