Fresh off the casting of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, director David Fincher’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood follow-up has now made another addition to its cast, with Deadline reporting that Carla Gugino (Watchmen, The Fall of the House of Usher) has joined the Netflix film.
Written by Quentin Tarantino and titled The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the sequel will pick up several years after Tarantino’s film, with Brad Pitt’s Cliff now working as a Hollywood fixer. Also on board to appear are Elizabeth Debicki (MaXXXine) and Scott Caan (Hawaii Five-0), while Leonardo DiCaprio is also said to be in talks about reprising his one Once Upon a Time… role as Rick Dalton.
Gugino is becoming a regular at Netflix, having starred in Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King adaptation Gerald’s Game, along with the series The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Details on The Adventures of Cliff Booth are scarce at present, but Fincher is directing the film through his exclusive deal with streaming giant Netflix. The project will mark the first collaboration between filmmaking titans Fincher and Tarantino, and Fincher’s fourth film with Pitt after Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
