Chris Pine and Elizabeth Olsen set to headline Wild River

In more casting news coming out of Cannes, it seems that thriller Wild River has found its two leads amongst The Avengers and Star Trek.

Screen Daily is reporting that Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Elizabeth Olsen (Avengers: Age of Ultron) have been tapped to headline the new film, which mark the directorial debut of from Sicario screenwriter Taylor Sheridan.

Wild River will see Pine play a “fish and game hunter forced to confront his past when he joins a rookie FBI agent in a quest to solve a murder in the lawless Wind River Indian Reservation.”

Production company Wild Bunch has set up the project for prospective buyers at the Cannes Film Festival, with firm details and deals expected to take place shortly.
