Chris Pratt in talks to join Wind River and Sicario writer’s new movie

October 25, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Chris Pratt is reportedly in talks to star in Taylor Sheridan’s latest thriller.

When speaking of busy actors in Hollywood, one of the first names that come to mind is Chris Pratt. Well, the actor is about to get even busier as he looks like he will need to make room to shoot a new thriller from Taylor Sheridan, the writer of Sicario and director/writer of Wind River.

Sheridan has recently been busy directing all episodes of his dark TV series Yellowstone but up next for him (once season two is done), the writer/director will turn his attention to an $80 million thriller with the working title Fast.

Variety reports that the film “follows a former special forces commando (Pratt), who’s recruited by the DEA to lead a black ops strike team targeting drug dealers who are protected by the CIA.”

It certainly sounds in keeping with Sheridan’s past work and apparently all it needed to get off the ground was a star. Enter Chris Pratt.

Variety goes on to say: “The project gives Pratt yet another potential franchise. Pratt expressed immediate interest in the project upon meeting with Sheridan when the filmmaker was taking a break from production on Yellowstone.”

A new directing and writing gig from Sheridan is enough alone to get cinephiles excited but with Pratt also in negotiations to star, well, the anticipation will only grow further. One to keep an eye on.
