Daredevil’s season 1 showrunner Steven DeKnight would “love” to return to Marvel

December 28, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Steven DeKnight, showruner for Daredevil season 1, would love to return to work with Marvel in the future.

Season 1 of Netflix’s Daredevil series has been the most critically acclaimed Marvel season the platform has managed to date, and kicked off this little corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since then, a new showrunner has taken over for DeKnight in season 2 of Daredevil, allowing him to pursue different projects such as Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Daredevil will have a new showrunner yet again for its third season in 2018 and a fan has asked DeKnight if he would “come back to do more Marvel stuff”. DeKnight certainly seems up for the idea, saying: “Would love to, schedule permitting.”

There will surely be plenty of fans that would be excited by the idea of DeKnight returning either to Daredevil, another Netflix series, or perhaps even to one of Marvel’s movie properties.

With the sheer amount of content that Marvel cranks out, bringing back someone who is familiar with the way they work and has demonstrated success in the past, should be an easy decision as long as DeKnight can find some free time.
