DASHCAM: The Future of Horror is Here! | TIFF 2021 Video Review

September 15, 2021 by EJ Moreno

EJ Moreno with a video review of Rob Savage’s DASHCAM…

Toronto International Film Festival premiered one of the year’s most interesting horror films with DASHCAM. Director Rob Savage returns after his breakout hit, 2020’s Host, with a new found-footage romp from Blumhouse.

Critic EJ Moreno breaks down why this is one of his favorite films of TIFF 2021, and why this is going to be a massive horror hit for genre fans. And like others have mentioned, prepare for one of the wildest central characters in quite some time.

DASHCAM is based on a musician who exaggerates her own polarizing online persona and depressed by her pandemic lifestyle in Los Angeles, she breaks quarantine for London, England, and the hospitality of a former bandmate.

DASHCAM is directed by Rob Savage and written by Savage, Gemma Hurley, and Jed Shepherd. The film stars Seylan Baxter, Amar Chadha-Patel, and Angela Enahoro.
