Dave Bautista appears in new Mortal Monday-inspired Mortal Kombat 1 trailer

August 29, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Dave Bautista is no stranger to ass-kicking. If it’s his time in WWE or as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, Bautista knows a good fight.

That’s why his inclusion in the new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer is such a delight. The actor and retired professional wrestler just starred in a reimagining of the iconic “Mortal Monday” commercial from 1993.

The game’s roster includes a massive collection of fan-favorites, including Baraka, Geras, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Kitana, Kung Lao, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Mileena, Raiden, Rain, Scorpion, Sindel, Smoke, Sub-Zero, and Tanya.

Mortal Kombat 1 will also introduce Kameo fighters, which bring more iconic MK names to the game. Some of the names listed for Kameos are Cyrax, Frost, Goro, Jax Briggs, Kano, Sektor, and Sonya Blade. Check out the official trailer below…

It’s In Our Blood. Discover a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe created by Fire God Liu Kang. Mortal Kombat 1 ushers in a new era of the iconic franchise with a new fighting system, game modes, and Fatalities!

Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19th, 2023.
