Dave Bautista confirmed for Blade Runner 2

April 4, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

After posting a cryptic picture and message about his possible involvement, it has been confirmed today that Dave Bautista (Spectre, Guardians of the Galaxy) has officially joined the cast of the sequel to Blade Runner.

News broke yesterday on Bautista’s potential casting, but now multiple outlets are confirming the his involvement in the film, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario).

In addition to Bautista, the film also added House of Cards and Wonder Woman star Robin Wright to the cast alongside original star Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling (The Big Short).

The sequel, 34 years in the making, has been written by original co-writer Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, from a story Fancher constructed with Ridley Scott.

Blade Runner 2 is set for release on January 12th, 2018.
