DC’s Super Pets coming to the big screen courtesy of The LEGO Batman Movie writer

August 1, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Fresh from the success of Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, Collider is reporting that Warner Bros. is in development on another animated feature, this time focusing on DC’s Super Pets!

According to the site, The LEGO Batman Movie screenwriter Jared Stern is attached to pen the script for the project. The report goes on to state that “it’s unclear whether Stern will use DC’s Legion of Super-Pets or the Cartoon Network series as the basis for the script, or whether he’ll create new characters better suited to his vision for the film.”

DC’s team of Super Pets first appeared together in Adventure Comics #293 in 1962, and over the years it has included the likes of Krypto the Super-Dog, Streaky the Super-Cat, Beppo the Super-Monkey, Comet the Super-Horse, Aquaman’s seahorse Storm, Damian Wayne’s dog Titus, and Harley Quinn’s hyenas Bud and Lou.

Are you excited about the prospect of DC’s Super Pets assembling on the big screen? Let us know in the comments below…
