According to Variety, Netflix has ordered the holiday-themed comedy series Merry Happy Whatever, which has Dennis Quaid (Fortitude) attached to star and executive produce.
Created by Tucker Cawley (Everybody Loves Raymond, The Odd Couple), Merry Happy Whatever will see Quaid playing Don Quinn, “a strong-willed patriarch who must balance the demands of his complicated family with the stress of the Christmas season when his youngest daughter comes home for the holidays with a new boyfriend.”
Merry Happy Whatever has an eight episode order from Netflix, and the plan is that should the show prove a hit, subsequent seasons would then revolve around different holidays.
