Dirty Dancing TV remake castings Colt Prattes as Johnny

Newcomer Colt Prattes, who is best known for his appearance in P!nk’s music video for “Try”, has been cast in the iconic Patrick Swayze role of Johnny in ABC and Lionsgate’s upcoming TV remake of Dirty Dancing.

The three-hour musical will see Prattes joining Abigail Breslin (Scream Queens) as Baby and Debra Messing (Will & Grace) as Baby’s mother. Wayne Blair (The Sapphires) is directing from a script by Jessica Sharzer (The L Word), while Allison Shearmur (The Hunger Games) and Eleanor Bergstein, writer of the original movie, will serve as executive producers.
