Donald Glover hopes that Atlanta is “way better” in season 2

June 6, 2017 by Samuel Brace

Donald Glover has spoken about his hopes for the second season of his critically acclaimed FX series, Atlanta.

On Monday night Glover was in attendance in New York for an FX screening of his TV series Atlanta. While there he spoke to Variety about his plans and aspirations for the second season of the show.

“I just hope it’s a way better show, and more cohesive. I’m really touched that people are connecting to it and like it, but …” he said, pausing. “I want you to be able to watch the first season and be like ‘Wow, I like that season, but the second one is way better.’ I want that debate happening.”

It’s obviously good that Glover is ambitious for the show, not settling for merely a repeat of the success that season one found. Whether or not he will be able to achieve such a goal will remain to be seen.

Glover is currently working on perhaps his most high profile project to date, with his role as Lando Calrissian in the Han Solo Star Wars spin off movie.
