Elliot Page developing Beyond: Two Souls as a TV adaptation

January 29, 2025 by Matt Rodgers

Elliot Page is delving into his back-catalogue in order to capitalise on the success of video game adaptations by developing a TV series based upon the supernatural mystery Beyond Two Souls.

The 2013 game was developed by Quantic Dream and starred Page alongside Willem Dafoe (Nosferatu). It told the story of Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities that have linked her since birth to an incorporeal entity named Aiden, who she is able to control, manipulating the powers that they share. Together the two become the target of both government and otherworldly forces, and must work together to survive.

Per Deadline’s report, Page will develop the series under his Pageboy Productions banner, with the intention of trying to “create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers”.  The series adaptation will explore the game’s non-linear narrative. There is no word yet as to whether Page will look to replicate his critically-acclaimed work in the game by taking a role in the show.
