Elton John in talks for Kingsman: The Golden Circle

April 13, 2016 by Gary Collinson

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elton John is in talks to join the cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the upcoming follow-up to 2014’s hit action spy comedy Kingsman: The Secret Service. The site reports that it is unclear which role the singer is up for, and could be set to play himself.

Kingsman: The Secret Service will reunite director Matthew Vaughn with stars Taron Egerton, Mark Strong and Edward Holcroft, while Colin Firth may also return in some capacity. Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Halle Berry (Extant) and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) have also signed on to appear.

The Golden Circle follows Kingsman agents Eggsy (Egerton) and Merlin (Strong) as they head to the States to work alongside their American counterparts the Statesmen, led by Ginger (Berry), in order to take down the villainous Poppy (Moore).

The Golden Circle is due to start production in London this month ahead of a release on June 16th, 2017.
