Shudder is known for offering up horror-filled delights, and their latest offering Quicksand is no different. In a solid entry to the survival horror sub-genre, we get some stellar acting from all involved. That includes our guest Allan Hawco, who stops by Flickering Myth to dish on his latest.
Allan Hawco dives into all things Quicksand, including working with co-star Carolina Gaitàn, as well as finally making his way into the horror genre. We also ask the native Newfoundland filmmaker what it means to work in his regional area and bring productions to his hometown.

An American couple on the brink of divorce travels to Colombia for a work conference. While on a hike through the rainforest, a storm causes them to become trapped in a pit of quicksand. Unable to move, it becomes a struggle for survival as they battle the elements of the jungle and a venomous snake in order to escape. Starring Carolina Gaitàn (Encanto) and Allan Hawco (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan).
Quicksand premieres on Friday, July 14th.
