Just weeks after it seemed like the Fast X sequel would get pushed back, Vin Diesel has now confirmed the news.
We reported last week that Dwayne Johnson announced his Fast & Furious return and revealed he’ll star in a new film that would bridge the stories between Fast X and Fast X Part 2.
In a new social media post, Vin Diesel shared a photo with Fast X co-star Jason Momoa and announced a new April 2025 release date, pushing back the reportedly final instalment in the mainline series from its rumored 2024 date.
Diesel also took a moment to squash the growing rumors of beef between Momoa and himself. Diesel writes, “Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene-stealing character that the world won’t forget.”

Dante’s plot will scatter Dom’s family from Los Angeles to the catacombs of Rome, from Brazil to London and from Portugal to Antarctica. New allies will be forged and old enemies will resurface. But everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry, Black-ish) is the ultimate target of Dante’s vengeance.
