FearPix shares trailer for horror-thriller Dollar $tore Killers

May 3, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Streaming service FearPix has unveiled the trailer for its first FearPix Originals release, the horror-thriller Dollar $tore Killers, which is directed by Cleve E. Braddy from a script by longtime FM contributor Anghus Houvouras, and starring Seth Hale, Amelia Mahrie, Frankie Breit, Veronica Nelson.

“I wanted to write something that spoke to the real-world horrors that propel people to commit heinous acts of unthinkable violence,” states Houvouras. “The foundation of the story is rooted in the kind of corruption you see taking place every day and the powerlessness that comes along with believing you lack the power to change things for the better It’s a brutal, darkly comic piece of existential horror with a wide range of influences, from the Coen Brothers to Christopher Guest.”

“Dollar $tore Killers is not your average horror piece,” adds Braddy. “There aren’t immense jump scares, there aren’t heads swinging from rafters. It’s methodical. It’s calculated. It’s about being fed up with a cyclical system designed to never let you off the ride. The funny parts reflect that. The drama reflects that. The horror reflects that. Life is unfair. And so are The Dollar Store Killers.”

Dollar $tore Killers follows a desperate content creator on a perilous journey to uncover the truth behind a mysterious duo of masked teenagers who have taken the internet by storm with a series of violent videos. As he becomes increasingly entangled in their world, he begins to question whether they are simply harmless pranksters or something far more sinister.

Dollar $tore Killers arrives on digital platforms on May 23rd.
