Fetal abduction horror-thriller Womb unveils trailer and poster

January 22, 2025 by Gary Collinson

Uncork’d Entertainment has released a trailer for Womb, a horror-thriller from director Bridget Smith (The Retaliators) which is based on a true story and delves into every worst nightmare: the terror of fetal abduction.

“The first documented case of fetal abduction happened in my hometown of Philadelphia in 1974,” says filmmaker Bridget Smith. “The terror of it has been in my mind ever since I heard that story. When Mike Walsh shared the script with me, I knew it would make a disturbing movie. Although you rarely hear about it on the news, fetal abduction has happened continually over the years with alarming regularity.”

Womb stars Taylor Hanks (The Giant) alongside Myles Clohessy (FBI: Most Wanted) and Ellen Adair (Law and Order); check out the trailer below…

Beautiful, pregnant and a recovering addict, 22-year-old Hailey heads to a remote cabin to meet her soon to be sister-in-law. What starts out as a beautiful, quiet weekend turns into pure terror when she becomes the prey of a deranged hunter obsessed with abducting her full-term fetus.

Womb is set for release on Digital and On Demand from February 11th.
