Amazon has released the first batch of images for its new thriller series Countdown. Starring Supernatural and The Boys‘ Jensen Ackles, the series sees Ackles, Eric Dane (Euphoria) and Jessica Camacho (Watchmen) as members of an elite team investigating the murder of a Homeland Security agent.
Created by One Chicago and FBI creator Derek Haas, Countdown begins “when an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum, portrayed by Ackles, is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions.”
Along with Jensen Ackles, Countdown also stars Violett Beane (Death and Other Details), Elliot Knight (The Boys) and Uli Latukefu (Young Rock). The series will premiere on Amazon Prime with three episodes on June 25th followed by weekly releases. Check out the first look images here…
