June 5, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Independence Day and 2012 director Roland Emmerich is taking a break from world-destroying blockbusters this year to tell the story of the Battle of Midway in his World War II epic Midway, and Lionsgate has now unveiled the first poster for the movie ahead of its release in November.

Midway details the Battle of Midway, a major turning point in the Pacific theater during World War II, and chronicles the exploits of the soldiers and pilots at the heart of the conflict.

Featuring in the cast are Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), Woody Harrelson (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Mandy Moore (47 Meters Down), Patrick Wilson (Aquaman), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle), Aaron Eckhart (Olympus Has Fallen), Dennis Quaid (Fortitude), Tadanobu Asano (Thor: Ragnarok), Keean Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel), Ed Skrein (Deadpool), Luke Kleintank (Man in the High Castle), Jun Kunimura (Kill Bill: Vol. 1), and Etsushi Toyokawa (Love Letter).

Midway is set for release on November 8th.
