British-born Aussie actress Frances O’Connor (Mansfield Park) has scored a role in The Conjuring 2, taking the nominal lead alongside returning stars Patrick Wilson (Insidious) and Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel).

The Hollywood Reporter writes that O’Connor will play a mother who reaches out to Wilson and Farmiga’s paranormal investigators when her daughter experiences a haunting.
James Wan (Fast & Furious 7) is returning to the director’s chair for The Conjuring 2 and also co-wrote the screenplay based on the same real-life case that inspired recent Sky TV series The Enfield Haunting.
The Conjuring 2 is set to go in front of cameras later this month and is currently set to be released on 20th June 2016.
