Full lineup announced for 2015 Venice Film Festival

The official lineup for the Venice Film Festival has been announced this morning by the festival chief Alberto Barbera.

The festival will gives us our first glimpses of some of the films who hope to do battle in this year’s Oscar race. In the competition, some of the films vying for glory include Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl, which stars last year’s Oscar winner for Best Actor Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything); Beasts of No Nation starring Idris Elba (Star Trek Beyond), which debuts in the US on Netflix; and Equals, the sci-fi drama directed by Drake Doremus (Breathe In) starring Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult.
