Gal Gadot to lead new Skydance spy thriller Heart of Stone

December 5, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has signed on to lead the cast of Heart of Stone, an original international spy thriller from Skydance Media, which has ambitions of launching a new franchise that puts a female spin on the likes of James Bond and Mission: Impossible.

Tom Harper (The Aeronauts, Wild Rose) is in talks to direct the film, which has been scripted by Greg Rucka (The Old Guard) and Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures). Gadot will also serve as a producer alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger of Skydance.

Gadot will be seen this month reprising her role as the Amazon Princess in the DC Extended Universe sequel Wonder Woman 1984, which begins its international rollout on December 16th ahead of a HBO Max release on Christmas Day in the States.
