Live! with Kelly’s Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos have been tapped by ABC Studios to develop a scripted drama series based upon journalists Heather Cabot and Samantha Walravens’ upcoming book Geek Girl Rising: Inside the Sisterhood Shaking Up Tech.
The book, which is being released by St. Martin’s Press this May, “introduces readers to the female entrepreneurs and technologists who are building the next generation of tech start-ups, investing in each other’s ventures, upending male hacker stereotypes, and rallying women and girls everywhere to join the digital revolution.”
Ripa and Consuelos will executive produce the series through their Milojo Productions banner for ABC Studios.
