Gen V gets a season 2 trailer and The Boys guest stars

July 28, 2025 by Gary Collinson

As part of this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con festivities, Prime Video unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming second season of Gen V, as well as revealing that The Boys stars Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford and Nathan Mitchell will be reprising their roles from the flagship series as Starlight, The Deep and Black Noir respectively.

Also set to join the cast is Wicked star Ethan Slater, who will portray the character of Thomas Godolkin, the founder of the superhero school Godolkin University; check out the Comic-Con trailer and artwork for Gen V season 2 here…

As the rest of America adjusts to Homelander’s iron fist, back at Godolkin University, the mysterious new Dean preaches a curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever. Cate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma reluctantly return to college, burdened by months of trauma and loss. But parties and classes are hard to care about with war brewing between Humans and Supes, both on and off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize. And, somehow, Marie is a part of it.

Season 2 of Gen V sees the return of Jaz Sinclair as Marie Moreau, Lizze Broadway as Emma Meyer, Maddie Phillips as Cate Dunlap, London Thor as Jordan Li, Derek Luh as Jordan Li, Asa Germann as Sam Riordan, and Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity. New additions include Hamish Linklater as Dean Cipher and Ethan Slater as Thomas Godolkin, along with The Boys guest stars Erin Moriarty as Starlight, Chace Crawford as The Deep and Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir.

Gen V season 2 premieres on Prime Video on September 17th.
