Godzilla is heading to the Marvel Universe in March as the comic publisher launches a series of six one-shots pitting the King of the Monsters against iconic Marvel heroes, and having already revealed the impending battles against the Fantastic Four, Hulk and Spider-Man, it has now been announced that round four will see the legendary kaiju squaring off against the Uncanny X-Men.
“If you’d asked ten-year-old Fabian what he’d do for the chance to write Godzilla, he would have breathed fire and burned anyone up for the job to an uncomfortable crisp,” said writer Fabian Nicieza, who is joined will be joined on Godzilla vs. X-Men #1 by artist Emilio Laiso. “Combine Godzilla with a ‘vs.’ and an ‘X-Men,’ well, let’s just say I love the smell of burning writer in the morning. It smells like victory!”
